bhi design and manufacture a range of DSP noise cancellation products that improve the voice quality in radio and voice communication equipment.  Our products incorporate fully adaptive Digital Signal Processing technology (DSP) and will greatly improve the speech quality when communicating from within noisy environments where headsets are used. Unwanted noise and interference that is picked up during the communication will be removed to leave clear speech.

Several noise cancelling solutions are available for this type of application. The main product is the small compact NEDSP1061-PCB DSP pcb module.  This module can be wired into in the microphone path of the audio so that noise is removed from the source end (A microphone preamplifier may be required depending on the type of microphone used), or wired into the low level audio of the receive path. A pre-wired version called the NEDSP1061-KBD is also available, and this module is ideal for R&D purposes or for initial testing as it is pre-wired ready to go.

The bhi NNTDSP.001 DSP pcb module that is used in the Icom “F” series commercial radios can also be used in the audio receive path, and can be wired directly into the headset or fitted using the mating connector.

The ANEM MKII & the NEIM1031 MKII DSP noise cancelling in-line modules can be used with headphones and headsets.  They are especially useful when operating a base station radio from within a noisy environment.
